Man kills himself after argument with ex-wife

Shamimulla Fakru Khan (38) killed himself on Sunday evening after an altercation with his ex-wife Nazma Ansari (40) at the G S K Lodge on L B S Marg, Kurla. The two had separated in July after being married for a year. Earlier that day, he told some of his friends to have a look at Nazma, who was a bar dancer. "Nazma did not like his behaviour and decided to sort out the matter. She accompanied Shamimulla to room 303 of the guest house, where they had an argument," said Inspector B D Jadhav from Kurla police station. At first, Shamimulla tried to strangulate himself with an AC wire. When that did not work, he tried killing himself with a beer bottle. Later, he consumed pesticides after Nazma refused to continue their relationship.Nazma ran to the reception for help when Shamimulla fell unconscious. He was rushed to Sion hospital where he was declared dead. Shamimulla was a tailor and had married for the second time. Nazma has a child from her first marriage. For video click here
